We currently have a brilliant, all-girl team working here. Our 'token-male' employee, Scott,  SAYS he works here, but he just turns up to annoy everyone, talks about Rangers & other sports, then after his fag break, he goes home to annoy Sarah!

We haven't nominated anyone to be profiled on the website as yet, but it's something we'll include in the future.

 

There are currently no job vacancies here but we always compile contact lists for those who are interested.  We usually recruit extra staff around Christmas or Easter.

Taking our business to the web makes 'The Starting Gate' even more exciting, as we can reach those customers who work away from this area & with whom we like to keep in touch, and show NEW customers what they can expect.

We can also promote this flagship Pub for LHPC, and their other sites throughout the North of England, to show you why Local Heroes Pub Company is one of the most successful, independent companies in this industry. 

We'll try to include photos from years gone by, to give you a glimpse of how we've changed in the past 27 years.
